Shannon, I really like the gestures in the first page. They have depth and foreshortening - all of which is convincing. When drawing shoes on feet, try to give them some sense of weight - ground at foot if the pose is leaning. The last drawing has a nicely drawn foot (although the overall proportion suffers a bit) Shoes can really complete a drawing's gesture by stabilizing one part of the subject. If drawn too small or 'gumby-like,' however, they can make the subject seem floaty.
